The Trafalgar St. James officially relaunched under its new name this month as the first UK hotel to be part of Hilton’s Curio Collection.
The hotel’s new look isn’t quite complete just yet, with renovations still underway for some of the public and private spaces. However, it is largely finished and open for guests, offering 131 bedrooms and 15 suites.
The rooms feature art deco accents and wall art showcasing some of London’s music idols. They come with complimentary WiFi, tea and coffee facilities including Nespresso machines, laptop safes, and USB ports. Bathrobes and complimentary mineral water are provided too.
The Rooftop, the hotel’s new alfresco drinking and dining space, is still being renovated, but is sure to be open soon.

In the meantime, Biblio provides an intimate lounge with a private members club feel, and The Trafalgar Dining Rooms serve a South-East Mediterranean menu all day.
When The Rooftop does open, it will offer both alfresco and canopy-covered seating, with a menu of small and sharing plates great for a group outing. It will offer panoramic views of the London skyline, including Nelson’s Column and the London Eye. It’s even suitable for winter, with outdoor heaters, an open fireplace and even blankets to keep everyone warm.
Another space yet to be revealed is Room, a glass-enclosed private dining room that seats 14.

Biblio is also available to use for events and Rooftop will hold up to 150 people for a wedding reception or party. Other facilities at the hotel include a 24-hour gym so guests can keep fit whenever they want to.
Hilton has chosen a central location in the capital for its first Curio Collection hotel in the UK. The collection is relatively new, created in 2014, and features only 35 of the best upscale hotels in Hilton’s portfolio.
Hilton has also been busy establishing their first Curio hotels in the Netherlands, France, Rome, and the Asia Pacific region.
